The Spartan Trifecta is a badge of honor, earned by pushing your mind, body, and spirit to achieve greatness.
- To become a member of the Trifecta Tribe, one must complete one of each Spartan distance - Sprint, Super, and Beast.
- You can earn multiple Trifectas in a single trifecta year, however, only one lap per day, per event will count.
Trifecta Calendar Year
- The 2025 Trifecta Calender year will run from January 1st, 2025 to December 31st, 2025
- The 2024 Trifecta Calendar year will run from January 1, 2024 to December 31st, 2024
- The 2023 Trifecta Calendar year will run from January 1, 2023 to December 31st, 2023
- The 2022 Trifecta Calendar year will run from November 8, 2021, to December 31, 2022
What Counts Towards the Trifecta?
A Spartan Stadion race will count as a Sprint towards the Spartan Trifecta.
A Spartan Ultra race will count as a Beast towards the Spartan Trifecta. The entire Ultra course must be completed in order for it to count. Only completing half will not count as a Beast towards your Trifecta. Completion of the Ultra will count as 1 Beast towards your Trifecta.
City Events, Hurricane Heats, Agoge, or Spartan Trail events do NOT count towards the Spartan Trifecta.
You can complete the races in any order, the Sprint does not have to be completed first.
Claiming your Trifecta:
- 1x Trifectas: There is nothing special that you will need to do to "claim" a trifecta medal, as you will earn the three pieces of it, as you complete your races during the season. Once you have your third piece, the medals will fit together to complete one big Trifecta medal.
- 2x Trifectas or more and/or Weekend Trifecta Medals, please complete the form(s) below based on the location where you will be earning your medal:
If you complete the form less than 30 days before your event weekend there is a possibility we will not have your medal on-site. In that case, we will ship it to you free of charge once it has arrived at our warehouse.
Trifecta Weekend Medals
If you participate in all three types of events during a single race weekend, you will be awarded a special Weekend Trifecta medal. This medal can only be obtained at the event where you complete all three distances. You can collect your medal from the Trifecta Tent after finishing the beast/ultra, super, and sprint races during the same weekend.
Wedge Pieces
The design of the medal wedge you receive will be based on the year in which you run each individual race. For example, if you run a Sprint in 2021 your wedge piece will be the same as the other 2021 medal wedges. However, if you run the Super and Beast in 2021, and a Sprint in 2022 then your wedges will display different years and designs, but they will still fit together to make up the Spartan Trifecta logo. There is no exchanging of wedges between years.
IMPORTANT: Trifecta medals MUST be collected at the event it was earned at. Trifecta medals cannot NOT be given or mailed out after race day.
Merchandise
Trifecta merchandise (shirts, medal holders, etc.) will be available for purchase at the Merchandise Tent at all events, but no additional merchandise, other than medal pieces, will be provided to Trifecta finishers.
