VIRUS SAFETY GUIDELINES

As we return to our 2024 event season, ensuring the continuing safety and quality of your event experience is our #1 focus.

Included here are the guiding safety principles and plans that we’re currently planning to implement at our events.  We’ll continue to monitor trends, work with local officials to comply with their guidelines and restrictions where necessary and adjust our plans as needed based upon guidance from the relevant Public Health National Guidance.

KEY SAFETY PILLARS

  • Capacity Management: whilst outdoor environments and fresh air ensure the best environment to reduce Virus transmission, we will continue to roll out pre-event selection of start times at set capacities.
  • Health Screening: COVID-19: There are currently no COVID-19 restrictions in the UK. If you have COVID-19 you should try to stay at home. Should there be any change to the guidance between today and any 2024 event date which causes us to implement alternative measures we will write to inform you accordingly.
  • Health Screening: Monkey Pox: In line with the current UK Government guidance on Monkeypox for planning events and mass gatherings participants should not attend the event if they have the following:
    • They have received a confirmed or highly probable diagnosis of monkeypox, and if they are currently isolating.
    • Have symptoms compatible with monkeypox.
  • Protective Equipment: Participants and Spectators are welcome to wear facial coverings across the event site should they wish.
  • Reduced Contact: We will be remaining cashless across our event sites and will continue to offer self-service sanitiser in locations like portable toilets.

All Spartans need to do their bit to make events as safe as possible. While we’ve got a solid plan in place to protect you, here’s how you can do your part:

  • Stay home if you feel unwell or have been in contact with someone unwell
  • Be Informed. Read all event communication, as it could contain important safety information on event procedures and policies. Follow the instructions of medical personnel and Staff Members
  • Practice proper health and hygiene methods for hand washing, hand sanitising, sneezing, coughing, etc
  • Wear a face covering if preferred
  • Show up on time at your assigned arrival and start time window
  • Thank the volunteers, they are there to keep you safe and help keep you going
  • Consider the safety of yourself and others around you
  • Respect the host community and venue

HEALTH SCREENING

Symptoms can include, but are not constricted too:

    • Attendees are welcome to wear a face-covering across the event site if they wish.

REDUCED CONTACT

EVENT AMENITIES AND COURSE

  • Food items and product samples may be individually packaged and self-service.
  • Water-based obstacles are treated and tested before each event.
