Kids must be at least 4 years of age on or before race day to participate in the Kid's event.

Kids Distances:
1km Kids Race
- About .5 miles long
- 1km age: 4-6yrs
- Ages based on the child's age on the day of the race
- Parents are allowed to run with their children
- Most of the course will be visible from the Start/Finish area
- Due to venue limitations, some will have more visibility than others
- The average finish time is 15 to 25 minutes, however, this will vary depending on the venue/course and the athlete's ability
1.5km Kids Race
- About 1 mile long

1.5km age: 7-9yrs
- Ages based on the child's age on the day of the race
- parents are allowed to run with their children
- Most of the course will not be visible from the Start/Finish area
- Due to venue limitations, some will have more visibility than others
- The average finish time is 20 to 35 minutes, however, this will vary depending on the venue/course and the athlete's ability
3km Non-competitive
- about 2 miles
- Typically between 2.25 - 2.5

Age Range: 9-14yrs
- The child must be 9 years old on the day of the race to be able to register and run the 2-mile distance
- Results in ages are based on the child's age on 12/31 of that given year
- Parents are not allowed to run with their children
- This event is only offered at select venues
- Participants are given a special 2-mile finisher medal
- Most of the course will not be visible from the Start/Finish area
- Due to venue limitations, some will have more visibility than others
- The average finish time is 45-55 minutes however this will vary depending on the venue/course and the athlete's ability
- This distance consists of two laps on the 1-mile course in addition to an extended course section with more difficult age-specific obstacles
3km Competitive
- The top three children in the 9-11 and 12-14 age categories for male and female will podium at each Kids 3km competitive event
- The child must be 9 years old on the day of the race to be able to register and run the 3km distance
- Results in ages are based on the child's age on 12/31 of that given year.
Note: Racers that are 14 years old on race day may race and podium. However, if racers qualify for the Kids World Championship, they must be 14 years old or younger on Kids World Championship race day, in order to take part. - Parents are not allowed to run with their children
- This event is only offered at select venues
- Participants are given a special 2-mile finisher medal

What else do we need to know?
- Children age 9-14 may participate in any Kids Race distance
Note: Racers that are 14 years old on race day may race and podium. However, if racers qualify for the Kids World Championship, they must be 14 years old or younger on Kids World Championship race day, in order to take part. - All kids and parents must have a signed waiver to enter the venue. Waivers can be found on the event page for your specific race!
- We suggest planning to arrive 90 minutes prior to your child's start time.
- No discount codes can be used for a kid's race registration unless otherwise specified by a promotion.

Each FAMILY receives 2 free spectator passes when they pick up their kid's bib on race day. Spectators must be physically present and turn in a completed waiver to receive their free pass.
- The spectator pass will cover entry into the entire spartan event including the adult race, festival area, and kids race.
- Each registration is valid for 1 race. If your child would like to run the 2nd race, you will need to pay two full registration fees. (Second race includes t-shirt & medal)
- Bibs and start times are not posted online prior to race day for safety reasons. Bib numbers will be assigned when you check your child in at the "KIDS REGISTRATION" tent.
- Please remember that children under 14 are not to be left alone in the festival area while you are racing or for any reason.
